iPhone 6 - Who's preordering tomorrow at 3:01am?

I got my order confirmation from Verizon. Although, I did notice another weird thing during the upgrade process. As I mentioned, I decided to try out Verizon Edge, but during the steps, I had an option to select a new plan, but the new plan options weren't Share Everything or Edge options (they had specific minute allotments). I guess I'll have to talk to Verizon about getting my $10 savings!

Question: what happens if you order 2 phones on upgrade on the same phone number ? Ex: order 1 from AT&T, another from Apple store on same exact phone number that is eligible for upgrade ?

Anyone ever tried this ?

I'm pretty sure that wouldn't work unless there was some weird delay in either party updating the system, because Apple has ties in with the carrier to check for upgrades, etc.

Apple App kept timing out and finally they gave me a reservation number and said an email would come.

Finally got into the AT&T site and ordered my phone. Got the confirmation number printed out, will arrive on the 19th. iPhone 6 - space gray 64G

Got my 6 64gb from the pale store about 30 minutes ago. Delivers sept 19th. Figured if just wake up like normal and if it was available id get it. If not I'd wait.

Got a 6 64gb gray from VZW with no real issue. Delivery by 9/19. No one ordering? Greater stock levels available? Or memory incorrect that in the past these delivery dates slipped by now?

yeah i'm pretty surprised that the 6 still has delivery dates for 9/19 as of right now, for all models. the 6 plus on the other hand is backed up until october, with the 128gb one being the furthest. that really surprised me.

granted, this is the first time i think there have been 6 versions available at a launch.

I'm going to guess that they didn't have as many 6+ 128GB models than the other ones. The majority of sales come from the lower priced models.

yeah, and that is what surprised me more about the ip6 - both on verizon and apple site you can preorder them for delivery by the 19th still. all the versions in space gray at least.

So I didn't do the 3AM thing, and it cost me a month on the IP6+ 64gb silver as they're estimating delivery 10/14 or something like that.

Fuck. Hopefully that was a conservative estimate and some people will cancel.

So, Verizon told me 9/19 in the e-mail, but I checked the order status on their website, and I see... "Expected Ship Date: 10/14/2014"

Although, I swear this same thing happened to me when I got the iPhone 5 from Verizon, and I still got it on release day. Here's hoping? :$

They made a shit ton of 6, but the 6+ is in very short supply. The 64GB capacity, which is what the majority is gunning for, is more scarce than kryptonite. This is the situation in Canada at least.

I really have to give it to Apple, it's quite the dick move to keep 16GB and make the next step up 64GB, but they knew people would fork over that extra $100. I guess you don't get rich by being nice...

yeah smart move on them but annoyed me as well. i was going to go with 16gb, because i have a 32gb ip4 now and i am never over 16gb of usage really, but then i also realized that the photos on my phone take up less space than the pictures will on the ip6. same with videos. so i opted to spend the $100 more and get the 64gb size. i definitely would have just gotten 32gb if it was the cheapest option.

but i'd rather pony up $100 just in case since i can't expand on the 16gb.

my email also says 9/19, and when i check the website, it just says it doesn't have an expected ship date yet. i finished my order by like 3am so i hope it's in the first order, but if not, not much i can do about that.

I did the 12AM PST for about 20 minutes and then said f* it. Did it in the morning and it cost me 1-2 extra shipping weeks for the iPhone 6+ 64GB. Read in the news that it went until 2-3AM PST or so. Seems like it was a good idea.

Ah, mine says that now too. Honestly, there's a part of me that hates having stuff in limbo... especially pricey stuff that I really want to play with! So, situations like this tend to make me rather anxious. :$

Apple Store app was screwy, and website never loaded once. Bad week for Apple's web team!

Doesn't matter, as I was reserving a hardware upgrade on Rogers. Currently #41 in Canada for iPhone 6 16GB Space Grey (aka, the cheapest one!). Getting it launch day, as long as they let me keep my current plan.

I started trying right when the preorders were first available. In the end, I tried iOS apps, Apple website, a phone discussion with Verizon, and a lot of attempts with the ATT and Verizon websites. I was willing to switch from V to ATT.

In the end it took 2.5 hours to preorder a 64GB iPhone6 and a 64GB iPhone6 Plus. The Plus was quoted as 10/7 in the e-mail but now it says there's no date.

The most irritating part was Verizon on the phone telling me I had to wait until after the 19th to order devices via Edge, but the website eventually worked for exactly this. I'd confirmed it in store earlier, just to make sure I understood the plan, which is a good deal for 10GB data and above in my case. Early in the night the website at V would only let me keep my current plan, which is subsidized. I'm not sure why Edge opened up later. Two things are for certain though.. The Verizon website is a convoluted mess. The preorder process sucks.

Yeah I am sticking to my iPhone 5s x 5 + 1 4s for one of my kid's friends that have no phone at their house.

The 6 just seems too big for what I want from a phone and I almost always have to have my laptop with me so if I need a bigger screen I have it.

The 128GB option is pretty cool though and the pricing is nice.

Ended up getting an unlocked 128GB Silver iPhone 6 direct from Apple. I was only planning on getting the 64GB one but the ship-time wasn't until Oct 8th or something, so I figured what the hell, should have mine on Sept 19th

Standard 64GB 6's are all 9/19 or 9/26.
64GB Plus 10/10 - 10/24.
128GB Plus 10/28.
