Anyone having a lot of apps crash on them? Ive had about 6 crash today alone Early bugs? or something with my phone?

I've had games like Monkey Ball and the pinball game crash on me a couple of times. At first I thought it was because I updated the "unofficial" 2.0 firmware but now I think it's not just me.

edit: macrumors is saying to re-install the application if crashes keeps happening link

Unrelated to this procedure, there have been sporadic reports of people having Applications quitting immediately after launch. This has happened both with original iPhone and iPhone 3G versions. The solution is to simply delete the application and redownload it from the App Store. Apple allows you to re-download any application for free.

Actually that'd be way handy, I use my iPhone as a flashlight all the time

a flashlight rocks. i have a free lil app for my mogul that uses the camera flash LED as a flashlight. has 3 options - 30 seconds, 60 seconds, or continuous on.

beats using my screen as the flashlight by a lot.

RIAA? I was under the impression on the first gen, Apple required wifi to keep AT&T's Edge bandwidth down.

Can you point me to an article on that? I can't seem to find any.

I wouldn't be surprised if the carriers (AT&T in the US) get a portion of Apple's 30% cut from application sales. It's pretty standard practice. Bandwidth isn't such an issue when there's (potential) revenue attached to its use.

Apple probably refused to give a cut of iTunes store sales to AT&T et al. who in turn complained about bandwidth use and demanded that the iTunes store be Wi-Fi only. All speculation of course.

That's like Comcast wanting a portion of the sales from Amazon.com, though. I really hope AT&T isn't getting any profit from the AppStore. That would really irk me.

Here's something from Engadget. Basically the labels consider music downloads over cellular services a "premium" feature and want more money for it as a result. Apple's not about to charge people more for it, it doesn't make any sense from their perspective.
