Yeah, that's what I thought at first, but even after letting them run all the way through, iTunes still tries to sync them. I also forced iTunes to mark them as 'not new' but to no avail.

As for syncing, have you checked all the options available when you click on the iPhone and then choose the "Podcasts" tab? This allows me to sync just selected Podcasts, and then also choose to sync just the newest unplayed, or the newest regardless of played count, etc...

Yep, that's exactly what I do too. The podcasts in questions are unselected; I also set it to sync only "1 most recent unplayed" episodes of the selected podcasts. The podcasts that keep on syncing meet none of these criteria, yet iTunes seems to want to sync them no matter what. This picture should illustrate the dilemma.

Note that this only happens with Video podcasts. At first I thought iTunes was syncing them because some other option was selected in the Video tab, but even when setting iTunes not to sync any video at all, it keeps on doing it. This is a problem because some of these podcasts are humongous in size: some are over 700MB and they fill up my iPhone pretty quickly. Thank god I can delete them directly from the iPhone, but it's still a PITA because every time I want to sync a movie, iTunes syncs the unwanted podcasts first and then it complains it doesn't have enough space available for the movie / TV series I want to sync.

Main thing I don't like is the Speakerphone (or lack therof). Even my cheapie phones had a better Speakerphone than the iPhone does.

Unable to open link in new tab, need a better way to scroll through very long websites besides constant flicking, general safari instability, no copy/paste, needs more options for vibrate alerts (new email/text vibrate is too short and weak), poor battery life for 3G. Also, non-push accounts don't seem to reliably fetch email on the schedule I've set.

Ooh yeah, open in new tab + an End key would be fabulous. I hate flicking it 57 times to get to the bottom of the page, but then I accidentally hit the top bar and jump back up to the top

It's a love/hate relationship with the keyboard. I love the fact that it's all seemless, but there is no feedback from the "keys" as with the Verizon's LG Dare. It would be nice to hit the keys that I wanted to hit and since the phone seems to always want to correct my proper name (did you mean "any?, no I mean Anh)..... sigh...

-simple home screen profile icon (turn on/of 3g, wifi, BT, etc) There is no reason it should take 19 steps to turn off 3g.
-id like a way to easily mark email as read.
-mms, copy-paste
-video filming

Its not perfect, but its the closest thing I've ever had in the 10+ phones i've used over the years.

You should jailbreak, and get SBSettings. You will then be able turn on/off from the home screen.

yeah I have it, but is slow and buggy.

I want one icon, no menus. You setup what the button does, press it and switches off whatever you want.

oh, one thing I forgot to add in my first post in this thread is the lack of email search. It's freaking ridiculous there isn't any sort of search for email...hello, where's my mobile spotlight?!

Is there a maximum number of pages you can have (I just added a few more apps)? And I STILL REALLY need a way to organize the apps!!!

(The new feature using the home button to jump to the first home page is pretty helpful for me.)

Man it sounds like the iPhone sucks... maybe I should get a Blackberry Bold afterall. Too bad I have a lot of iTunes DRM music. Wah >< The new BBerry Bolds can sync with iTunes but not the DRM stuff.
