iPhone YouTube safari - auto play

They just forced a conversion to the new version of YouTube, and it’s a mess. Auto play videos is disabled and I can’t find how to enable it anywhere.

Version of what? I’m opening from safari browser. All settings Menus and sub menus in YouTube and the google account have no auto play option. I also can’t find how to switch between desktop and mobile version anymore. I also can’t find how to switch between desktop and mobile version anymore. It’s currently on desktop version which I used to prefer to use anyway.

I thought that you meant the app when I saw iPhone. Let me try it with the browser.

I see how to turn it off with Safari. Go to your subscriptions, and play a video. Don't go the whole screen, leave it small. Look below it and you should see up next, and to the far right you should see autoplay. Turn it off.

Just tried it and while that does toggle the auto play feature, it still doesn’t work for the function I needed. Not sure what it’s called, but the auto playlist of songs that will show up with a 50+ Mark overlayed on the thumbnail. When that’s opened, despite cuing up, it will stop after each song and you’ll have to manually press the play button.

I tried the app a few times in the past, and it was lacking some features of the desktop version, so I got in the habit of using it through Safari.

True! But that is a silly reason to noyt use the app which is as good as using YouTube on the computer...but ok, be silly....

Open the YouTube app. Go to Settings and search for Autoplay options. Click the Autoplay box to turn Autoplay on or off.
