For the love of all that is innovation, get an iRiver or Archos Gmini 400. Does having your iPod engraved make it, or you, unique? Absolutely not. You're just going to be another one of the millions of people who has an iPod, that same damn white music player with the same damn stale styling that hasn't change in years. God damn. I'm sorry, I'm not usually this mean, but I'm just sick of people buying these damn things and showing them off and thinking that they're damn cool for having one of these overpriced, un-innovative, bland pieces of sh!t. I could think of so many things that such a successful mp3 player should have incorporated by now but hasn't because there's no reason to make it better when people are still content to just buy it for the looks and the status and the "Woooo... I'm a sissy listening to music from a fvcking white box god damn mother!@*#$* #$$(# @!(!(# !!(@*# !!!!!!!!BBQ"
hahahaha
I agree the iPod is DEFINITLY NOT the best mp3 player out there and its actually one of the WORST looking ones as well
and for what you get on it I say SHEEP SHEEP SHEEP
cause thats what you are if you get one
I must be a sheep too then. Just because a product is sucessful doesn't mean that it sucks. I'm sorry it doesn't support 30 formats or have a built-in FM tuner or any crap like that. All my music is in .mp3 so the formats don't matter to me. I just wanted an mp3 player. Nothing more.
The click wheel = the best interface on any portable music device IMO. Hands down. On top of that, it cost me $260 through my school so it was considerably cheaper than the other alternatives that have been mentioned. I don't flaunt my ipod. I don't care what everybody else owns. I guess it's to each his own, but you shouldn't rail on something for being popular. Civics are popular and a bet 30% of this forum drives them and doesn't complain. My point is, who gives a $#@* what anybody else thinks. Am I sheep? No. Did I buy it because everyone else had one? No. I bought it because I love my ipod and wouldn't trade it for any other player out there.
My point is, don't call him a sheep because he bought one. Give him the benefit of the doubt that he did his research and selected the best mp3 player FOR HIM. It might not be the best one for YOU, but that doesn't matter, now does it? When you buy a new mp3 player, please, feel free to buy an iRiver or Zen or whatever. But you won't see me going into your thread a b*tching because the only reason people buy an iRiver is because it ISN'T an Ipod. I won't call you a sheep, or anything else. Please, try to have some respect for people unless they have done something to warrant a flame (read: said something really stupid).
(PS - If the whiteness bothers you, get it professionally colored for $50 from a place like this:
