U.S and Iran went at it a little during the Iran-Iraq War.

an Iranian mine hit a U.S navy ship. It killed a handful of people.
The U.S navy responded by attacking Iranian oil rigs and Iranian ships.

Some other crap happened. Most of it was Navy battles.
The U.S shot down an Iranian passenger plane killing 200+ people. They thought it was an F-14, but the passenger plane was on the correct path, etc.

F-15 jets from Saudi Arabia (U.S pilots inside) shot down 2 Iranian F-4s. The F-4s crossed into Saudi territory chasing after Iraqi jets. I guess it was a planned attack?

Yes, Iranians are wimps because some guy named slick50 said so.

Invade Iran and thousands of U.S soldiers will die. Nobody is disputing these numbers except you. The man who knows everything. Plenty more will die over Iraq and occupying Iran is not going to happen because it cannot happen.

The real wimp is Bush who invaded Iraq over Iran because he didn't want thousands of dead U.S soldiers with his name on them. He wanted a short war and not some long dragged out war that would last years.

Although that may not ever happen when a certain half of this country supports a nuclear Iran through inaction. If we puss out and only sanction or strike a single facility, I too would guarantee that the outcome would be a Nuclear Iran. However, the whole reason the debate is on the table is because we?re under the impression that they are going to do it regardless of our actions.

Having a country of religious whacks, determined to bring back their prophet by making a martyr out of the entire country, does tend to make me want to wipe that country off the map. We have plenty of conventional munitions if you?re about to freak over WMD use, which I?m never suggesting.

I should ask you what your choice of action is, should you have a man standing in front of you determined to kill you and he loads his gun. The next move is yours, but I know what I would do.

The ironic thing is we gave Saddam WMD to attack Iranians. Weapons that killed hundreds of thousands of people.

The U.S didn't want Iran to win the war so they armed Saddam with the weapons to help balance the war.
