In what way is John Kerry an appeaser? And how do you define appeaser?

Good luck getting a rational answer.

I guess you were right. There was only a quip response and it was not even addressed to me. Apparently, the appeaser label for Kerry was a baseless allegation.

Brilliant! It's not like we're woefully stretched thin as it is. Why, we have such airtight control over the situation in Iraq that starting another front against another enemy is just the ticket!

1st, what makes you think that we are actually stretched thin?
2nd, what actual proof do you have that the situation in Iraq is not under control?
3rd, what proof do you have that an enemy exists in the place that the op suggested?

4th, why does my sarcasm deserve to be called brilliant?

No, it's just not what this thread is about and you aren't going to divert it into a discussion about me. You seem to want to argue with me(atleast it seems that way in our PM discussion) but it isn't going to fly. I put that "appeaser" part in there to show how stupid it was for conjur to put "fvcking idiot" in the OP. It adds nothing to the discussion and only turns it into a Bush thread instead of an Iran thread.

Got any more excuses....?

Yeah, the fact that Iran is the one who is moving their troops and wants more power is Bush's fault. Gotcha. I alway knew Bush was part of the Ayatollah
Oh, and Iraq wasn't "totally unneccessary" - it was necessary because Saddam didn't do as he said he would do.CkG
By needlessly and foolishly invading Iraq, Bush created this situation.

Respected foreign policy experts of all stripes warned about and feared the power vacuum that would result after the fall of Hussein. That's why Bush's dad backed off. Bush unwisely went ahead, He is 100% to blame for these 100% foreseeable results.

If you know that drinking toxic waste will give you cancer and you drink it anyway, you are to blame for your cancer, not the cancer. Get it?

Oh, and you say the invasion "was necessary because Saddam didn't do as he said he would do." Please document what Hussein didn't do that he said he would, and please show the airtight case as to why that made our invasion necessary. What explicit peril were we in prior to the invasion that made it the only rational choice, given its astronomical costs in men and money and its dangers?

Beirut, Lebanon, Jun. 15 (UPI) -- Iran reportedly is readying troops to move into Iraq if U.S. troops pull out, leaving a security vacuum.

The Saudi daily Al-Sharq al-Awsat, monitored in Beirut, reports Iran has massed four battalions at the border.

Al-Sharq al-Awsat quoted "reliable Iraqi sources" as saying, "Iran moved part of its regular military forces towards the Iraqi border in the southern sector at a time its military intelligence agents were operating inside Iraqi territory."

So I played the conjur troll game by putting a kerry quip in my reply to his - Sorry, I'll try not to feed the trolls in the future.

Perknose - The US Congress and Senate voted overwhelmingly to invade. The American public opinion was also very much in favor of the invasion. Clinton came out in support of the invasion. The UK was also strongly involved from the get go.

You're letting Bush hate overtake your reasoning facilities. Take a step away from the keyboard and engage your brain again.

And, yes, Bush is the Commander-in-Chief, but it wasn't as if the vast amjority of people were not saying go for it.

Plus there are lots of hand-wringers saying I warned ya. Of course, they've been wrong on so many other items that i doubt they're right on this issue.

I swear, one unsubstantiated wire report and the anti-Bush bleators all pile into the thread and whine their same old whines while predicting that the sky is falling.

It was neither "foolish" or "needless" IMO. Your feelings don't make things so.

The "power vacuum" happens anytime a ruler falls. Should we not have let the Soviet Union collapse because of the "power vacuum"? Is Reagan to blame for the actions of those who took action after the fall?
Doesn't surprise me that the blame America/ Bush hater crowd is all over this. They love to place blame on us and Bush for everything that happens in the world. Don't mind other people just might bear responsibility for their own actions....like say moving their own troops

I suggest you read the UN Resolutions regarding Iraq. There are a great many things Saddam failed to do which he promised to do. Cease-fire agreements only work when agreements are kept. Saddam never kept his end...

Conjur was apparently trying to put the blame for this story on Bush. Conjur perhaps believes Bush's intelligence was an element in the causal chain. I don't agree or disagree with those statements, but that's on-topic in my opinion because he's offering an explanation of events. Then you discussed Kerry for a reason I don't understand. I can't answer how that helps the discussion.

Sorry

I'm not sure I would label his post a troll. And if it was, yours was too. As I explained, he was offering a potential explanation for why Iran's troops were massed on the borders. (Again, I don't agree or disagree with it).

You can frame it though and hang it on your wall if you feel it is special

No thanks. That wouldn't make me feel special.

Like I said - I fed the troll. He trolled and got what he trolled for. There is no doubt he is trying to blame this on Bush but again, how does his trolling aid the discussion? Oh that's right... it doesn't.

I didn't say you were special or that it would make you feel special. I was talking about my apology for feeding the troll. If you feel my apology for feeding the troll was special you could frame it and hang it on your wall.

Well said. It should be interesting to see just exactly what if anything Iran is doing right now. Their military is no match for ours and they'd be foolish to try anything.

You haven't offered any explanation why you think Conjur's post was a troll. Was yours a troll? Does blaming the president of the US for foreign events make you a troll? Or does calling the president an idiot a troll?

You don't consider plopping this turd: "Fvcking Idiot" into his OP trolling? Why did he feel the need to put that there if he wanted a discussion about Iran's troops on the border? To get a reaction? Yep - got one. I already apologized for feeding him.

I already stated my posted fed the troll. I have apologized for it. I've had already answered that if you would have READ what I posted...but that's a different discussion My post(except for the "They will be dealt with..." part) was feeding the troll.

Your answer please?

So does that mean yours wasn't a troll itself? Is feeding the troll mutually exclusive with being a troll? I will assume you think it wasn't a troll _because_ you think they are mutually exclusive, but it would be nice if you could state it explicitly though to avoid confusion.

I don't know if his post was a troll. I don't know of a good definition of troll. Doesn't everyone post to get a response? That itself doesn't make him a troll. I don't think blaming the troop massing on Bush to be a troll. I don't think calling bush an idiot is a troll. (again, I'm not talking about the merits of the claims, just whether they should be deemed trolls).
