It's really too bad that your suicide attempts weren't successful.
You're projecting again
Ok? So you are a horrific nazi supporter like the rest of them. I think I know some of your posting history. We'd be better off if people like you moved to mars and let actual humans with souls run the joint. Go with Elon and the rest of that trash.

How does it feel to be born without a soul?

edit: I just had to look at a few of your posts. You are that person that we'd be better off as a species if you didn't exist. A cockroach with a keyboard.
To be fair the chat bot did at least use complete words this time. Someone must have fixed the bug with it only posting random letters in call caps.

Is 88 In the theater right now? Also not sure if helios has ever shot down a bm. The ones in theater have the capability to intercept bms though.

I don't think it is.

HELIOS isn't going to be useful against cruise or ballistic missiles at that power level but good for drones.

Economic response, up to and including a blockade?
It sounds interesting, if only because our capacity to intercept is rather huge. So currently they pose a low threat to our war ships. Commercial ships are another matter entirely. We may not have the ammo efficiency or physical coverage to protect all ships in transit. Any time we intercept a drone with a missile, we lose the economic exchange. I think Yemen might be willing to suffer in exchange for taking down the Suez canal for literal years, potentially. But we should certainly start with posing this challenge to them, and see if they want us to escalate to find a solution.

As for letting the Saudis take the gloves off, that could be an ideal solution. They too are probably tired of receiving missile attacks.
We can protect those ships flying the Stars and Stripes, the others can pay a protection fee or fly the Stars and Stripes. If you want to flag your ship in Panama or Liberia ask their navies to come protect your ass, or sail around the Cape of Good Hope.

what we should do is bomb all redneck red areas in the deep south and midwest and start to fix this country finally.
no.

They are Americans also. They have value to offer. They work, hard.

Violence is not the answer. That is what the Russians want you to believe. That is what Trump wants you to believe.

We can do better. It will be hard, but we can move beyond it.

Effectively blocking something as vital as the Suez Canal has massive economic and geopolitical ramifications.
Wars have certainly been started for less. The Houthi's actions are a true casus belli. Though I get the impression from posters here that we are not interested in immediately fronting the defense of the high seas or global commercial shipping. Currently, Pentagon appears to be drawing up plans of action. Perhaps the administration considers this more of a priority than the America people. Then again, it is the Pentagon's job to plan for everything.

Egypt took over the Suez Canal and makes the money off of it, they can defend it. The EU gets the majority of shipping through the Suez Canal, they can defend it. Israel is committing war crimes, if they want their shipping they can go defend it. If they attack a US ship, we can respond accordingly. No reason to expand the conflict that we are already on the wrong side of.

Did you know that in 2019 (latest year that has world count) for Oceangoing Self-Propelled, Cargo-Carrying Vessels of 1,000 Gross Tons and Above — the US has 0.4% of world count— 182 vessels out of 43,779 vessels worldwide?

Excel table 1-24 on that page

Our flagged ocean-going cargo fleet is minuscule.

Look at that, each one can have two personal navy ships to protect them. The other 43,600 ships can pay for security from a mercenary force.

I assume all the ships working on oil rigs in the gulf are excluded with one of the exceptions.

I've practically been goaded by the biggest pseudo intellectual moronic so-called Democrat in this forum to support a preemptive attack against the shit hole red states and didn't take that stupid bait. I mean Christ you're a fucking moron.

Would you like me to send nudes to you too you pathetic fucking obsessed little person?

As far as my mental health issues which included a suicide attempt at 18, which was thirty years ago, I haven't posted that in ages. Look, you barely post here until your recent 'nobody wants to work for you' because they are lazy thread, but turns out you are just a shithead post and nobody wants to work for scumbags. You must really have a hard on for me to dig that deep and that long ago. Fucking hilarious. Obsess much? Loser.

Want me to send you a nude?
Every now and then I push the "see ignored content" button and stuff like this pops up.
Though often related, mental illness and hate are a bad combination. The only advice I can offer is that if you can get past feeling weak and helpless, you'll find the hate and anger will recede. They won't go away, but the rage you feel will abate to tolerable levels.
Best of luck to you.

I don't want the US Navy becoming a mercenary force, I'd rather we mandate that we'll only protect ships flying the same flag as any other warship in theatre. Let that region just bristle with a multinational Navy, see who starts spraying bullshit around at that point.

Yeah, by protection fee, I meant to a third party mercenary force, not the US Navy. Poor choice of wording on my part.

As for world police. If someone wants an escort, services are available for a fee. Why am I paying for it? Why do I care about a Nigerian flagged oil tanker going to China?
Because we greatly benefit from a world built on free trade and the post-WW2 institutions and practices we helped to create and shape?

I don't think reverting to a multipolar world governed by spheres of influence is something that would be in the US national interest.

Could make Israel allow food and water into Gaza, that would be a great start to getting the Houthi's to stop...but nah instead it's always the most stupid bloodthirsty option

Firing missiles / drones to sink ships in the Red Sea, to close the Suez Canal.
THAT is the bloodthirsty option.

Do you even comprehend how many more people will die as a result of the Houthi's ongoing violence? How many they already killed previously?

12-18: USS Carney responds to distress call following Houthi-claimed attack on commercial ship in Red Sea
12-18:
Oil rises by more than 2% on Red Sea tanker attack, re-routings

Price of oil rises, stokes inflation on Americans, they turn away from Biden.... Trump wins 2024, Russia gets to attack NATO without consequence....
The dominoes here span far and wide. Their missiles and drones need to be counter fired upon immediately.
Oil tankers being attacked will help usher in a timeline you do not want to live in.

Much cheaper, less bloodthirsty to stop funding Israel's genocide and have them allow in food/water? Or send in a a carrier group? It's you that doesn't comprehend

The US would rather fight a new war than stop a genocide

Its all prophecy isnt it?

US had incentive to secure global shipping routes after WW2, those incentives are eroding.
