Its like putting your sick dog to sleep. While it is for the best, it is also not a cause for celebration. You are sick if you take pleasure in the death of another human being.

This society raises children to think 'with the grain'. I just heard two kids, a brother and a sister 19 and 17, talk about their reasons to enlist in the marine corp. They stated that they felt that it was 'their duty' to fight for this country without thinking about the reason they are fighting. They were interviewed on npr tonight and they were complete fools-they could only regurgitate what they had heard from their parents-they couldn' formulate a basic premise for themselves.

Both of my grandfathers are WW2 veterans (papa shelton on Okinawa and grandpa vik in occupied france) and neither of them supports any voluntary enlistment now. Not that I need their advice to know that this war shouldn't be fought.

We have kids that believe the hype.
