Yes, they are humans. There are two scenarios here:

They are Iraqi insurgents. In which case they are completely justified in fighting an occupying power (even many of our own troops will acknowledge this). If the Chinese came and wanted to set up their style of government and liberate us from Bush, would you greet them with flowers and candy? I think they are better off joining our side but you can't blame them for feeling that way.

They are al Queda insurgents. In which case they are likely extremely poor people without an education who were easily brainwashed. In the culture and environment they live it is easy to buy into terrorism. While a dead murderer is better than a living one, the fact that they had to be killed due to the situation over there is a sad one and I will not cheer for it. Its like putting your sick dog to sleep. While it is for the best, it is also not a cause for celebration. You are sick if you take pleasure in the death of another human being.

Either way they are enemies! Nothing make me happier than see the death of my enemies.

What I wonder about though, is your tone. It seems to me like you've forgotten that the US invaded Iraq, has continually intervened in the Middle East and that maybe a lot of these insurgents (whether foreign or not) are sick of it.

How would you feel if a foreign power continually intervened in your domestic situations, supporting unpopular governments, providing weapons to dictators, etc? I know I wouldn't like it much either.

I'm not saying your position is unjustified, or that your celebration in the death of an enemy should be any less, I just wonder if you understand that we got ourselves in this mess, and we have nobody to blame but ourselves for the civil war that seems to be on the verge of breaking out in Iraq.

You're comparing apples to oranges. It would be a different story if Bush started mass killing anyone who didn't agree with him, killed the entire Democratic Party, and then ruled the country by military power. Then I think some of us would be quite happy to have a foreign power take his ass out, I know I would be.

However, I do understand that not everyone is going to be appreciative of the Chinese being the ones setting up the government, however, I couldn't really be that pissed as long as I got to vote.

See, that's funny, because the first time Germany was beat, a whole bunch of really onerous reparation payments and all that were expected of them, since they "owed" the rest of the world for "starting the war". This fostered a whole lot of resentment, and fueled Hitler's rise to power.
The second time around, after they hanged the worst of the war criminals, the West actually tried to heal the breach, rather than keep Germany subdued, and now everyone's buddy-buddy. So basically it's the exact opposite of what you claim.
Plus, if all that oppression stuff worked, than the Israelis wouldn't have anything to fear from Palestine, what with all the rockets, bombs, and bullets they lob over there.

Well, most of the Iraqis were pretty optimistic after we took out Saddam. The real problems were a combination of the simmering resentments within the country that were only held in check by his brutal policies, and our complete cock-up at the post-war management stage, where we basically put all the most incompetent people at all the most important posts.

It was a horrible decision to go, but the true tragedy was that it could have been salvaged at a number of stages if our administration hadn't perversely continued to make all the wrong choices in almost every matter concerning Iraq.

This has nothing to do with education. Many terrorists, even domestic terrorists, have college degrees, yet still act like that.

Are these "freedom fighters" justified in murdering their own fellow citizens, police officers and military members as well?

I guess I am sick by your yardstick because every little scumbag that is killed by our military forces is one less who will kill innocent people, both in Iraq and around the world. Those same "extremely poor people" are the ones who killed 3,000 in New York, over fifty in London, and nearly 200 in Madrid, among other places and attacks that have taken place over the years. Do I pity them? Hardly -- I wish they would conduct live-fire suicide bombing practice before attempting attacks.

Please refer to them as Insurgents, because the majority of the fighters are from foreign nations out side of Iraq's border, mainly Iran.

Your argument would only be valid if a took a marching army to pull off the acts that occurred in NYC, London, and Madrid. This war will not end terrorism.
