IRC Client on ONE DISK

I need to put an irc client, preferably mIRC, on one (1) 1.44Mb disk. I dont need scripts or other crap, just the client. Any ideas on how to do it?

That's just the install package, how big is the client after being installed?

you can remove most of the files from mirc, it will fit on a floppy, I've done it before..

Why do you need to do this? We can be more helpful if you tell us what you're really trying to accomplish.

BTW, you can also just telnet to an irc server on port 6667 (and the other ports it runs on) and manually use the IRC protocol commands. It's not too hard.. just type &quot;USER <username 4 times>&quot;<enter>, then &quot;NICK <nickname>&quot;<enter>, and then JOIN #channel, PRIVMSG #channel :blah blah blah.
I've had to do this many times for various reasons, and it can be very useful. Same thing for POP and SMTP servers for sending/checking mail. You won't always have clients available for these things..

I need it to fit on one disk because if the System Admin at school finds it in my directory, i'll get kicked off. I'd like it to run from the disk as well

Does your PC at school have a CD-ROM? Burn a CD, 650MB is a whooooooooooooole lot more than 1.44MB.
