IrDA Communications

Am I the only one who wants to use Infrared communications? I would like to use the IR capability on my laptop to communicate with my desktop (Biostar M7MKE, slot A, Athlon 750) but no one seems to have the hardware to connect to the IR port on the motherboard.

I am baffled by this since it would seem that anyone with a laptop and a home desktop would be a potential buyer, the market is very large. Nearly every motherboard out there has an IR port.

Does anyone know where I can get hardware and/or info to do this?

Its available costs about $40 dollars. But they dont have the internal kind that attaches to the irda connector. I have only seen an ir port attach to a serial port. I dont remember what it was called could have been irman. Sorry for not having a link.
