hey icer, i was waiting for their new slimx too. but this deal seems way too good for me to pass up, so i didn't...
all i've been hearing is that the new one has small updates compared to the older one. it's bound to show up on usa market soon, amazon is taking pre-orders if you're asking. link
it also looks a lot cooler too. but i think at $109 A.R. the imp-350 is a better value... i've been wanting this thing for quite sometime and waiting for the imp-400 doesn't seem worth it for 2 extra language supports, better headphones (i'll be using my own), and a slightly different look on the player and remote. i hope the 350 has a battery detector as well, doesn't really mention anywhere but the 400 does.

bump for an great deal on an amazing unit. I don't know what I did without my iriver walking around campus every day. Imagine being able to listen to music whenever you walk around for a week or two, never changing the cd, seeing id3 tags on a remote, all while the player sits securely in your backpack! I got in on this in my goldbox about 3 months ago for 125, and this deal is even hotter! Buy it, you won't be disappointed.

Price is bumped up to 139.99 now which means final price after rebate would be 115 bucks.
Still not a bad price for this player I suppose.

One very important question, what's the main difference betweeen the imp-350 and the imp-150 aside from the 350 being newers and stuff. When I checked the specs for the 150 it looked very similar to 350, eg. can play wma, mp3, asf, supports winamp playlist etc., but the 150 cost quite a bit less then the 350.

hmm...looks like iriver is giving rebate to try clearing stock out for their new imp400. imp350 is still a great mp3-cd player...but its lil idiosynrcacies such as taking a very long time to recognize cdrws, skipping when you're not even moving, or getting "stuck"/not playing on startup are a bit annoying

ps..does anyone know if the imp400 remote works on the imp350?

Hey I got in on this deal while it was still $129.99 (it was a gift). Amazon raised the price not long after. I wanted to get another for myself. I did manage to use one for a few weeks when it first came out and i loved it. I didn't get any skipping at all even while on the skateboard around campus.

UPDATE for you all. Costco online has it for $119.99 plus the $20 rebate. So the final price would be $100 + tax + shipping. The final price may not be as good as the original deal of this thread, but still pretty good for a great product.

UPDATE AGAIN! I was at Costco the other day and saw a package there. It said iRiver, but the packaging was way different than the box I had received from Amazon. It included a set of behind the head headphones, car adapter, car charger, and a form fitting case. I just got off the iRiver website and realized that they have a new version with those very accessories out! The price at Costco was $129.99! I can't confirm that it was the new version at this point, but as soon as I head back there tomorrow and check it out I'll update. If anyone else can confirm this, feel free.

if you could, let us know what costco you're seeing this at? i've checked at both Hawthorne and Torrance here in LA and all they have are some crappy portable regular-CD players that are not even worth mentioning

if it is indeed the the new slimx imp-400 for 129.99, it'd be a sweet deal since the only place online selling them now is J&R at a steep 199.99!!!!
