Please say a brand name not just some model number.Originally posted by: Gurck
I'd go with the h320 or h340. That drive will fill up faster than you think, considering it can be used as a portable hard drive and, with the Korean firmware, can be used to watch movies.
As long as it supports directory structure I wouldn't mind. Unlike many people my collection is organized and uniformly tagged, not just a mess thrown into a folder labelled "music" or what-not.Originally posted by: mwmorph
yuck who wants to browse by file name?

$299 msrp for 5gb. also has a bunch if firmware bugs. Rio Carbon is a better choice. Almost no firmware bugs, gapless playback

No, its not true. I have an H10 (20 gb) and you CAN play them in alphapetical order, if you choose, or you can play an album by track number. Its a really nice player, especially if you want to use subscription based music store (i use yahoo and it works perfectly). Honestly, though, if you own all your music already I would get an Ipod, just because of the interface. BUT (and this really was a big but for me) get the iriver if you want to "rent" your music. I like paying 5 bucks a month for all i can listen to.

I also use the WMP interface and would go even beyond saying it isn't that horrible and say that its pretty darn good.
I just meant that, rather than buying a bunch of CD's at 10-15 bucks a pop, you can pay 5 dollars a month for all of your music (you still sync and organize via WMP).
It might be a bigger deal to me because I got my CDs jacked a year and a half ago and couldn't even begin to think of re buying a hundred CDs.

The Creative Zen Micro is a great alternative, and costs $200. I just ordered one myself yesterday, actually. Every review I've read praises it.
Give it a look.
