I suppose the Democrats want to run against Romney because his colossal convenient flip flops dwarf anything Kerry did. But if he can successfully flip flop toward the center after winning a Repub nomination he could be very potent against inexperienced Obama or blubbering Hillary Rodham by virtue of his debating skills and confident air.

Romney has zero chance... zero. He won't even win the primary, or even come close. He is so incredibly easily attackable he will be obliterated by negative ads if he is ever even close to the lead. (which he isn't) To be honest I doubt the democrats are very afraid of any of the republican candidates at this point. They have a flip flopping Mormon, McCain the Bush War supporter, Giuliani the cross dressing person so toxic his own family refuses to help him campaign, and Brownback the anti-evolutionist? This is an exceptionally poor presidential slate the Republicans have fielded so far, and if no other candidates enter for them I can't see how they will win. (I also believe that the more the public learns about the republican candidates, the less they will like them)
