lmao, yeah, right. THEY don't pay $4 or $6 per glass, or whatever that bar charges - THEY are purchasing the beer by the keg. And, at a discount compared to the keg price for regular consumers. Their margin will be a little lower, but they're going to make a profit regardless.
And, if you decide that you're just going to get shitfaced & are trying to save money - just go to the store & buy a case of beer, save a few bucks, and have leftovers.
My brother-in-law has been an alcoholic for nearly all his life.
I don't think there's been a day that he didn't drink AT LEAST an 18 pack of beer after work...some days, much more than that.
He did slow way down on drinking in bars after he got hit by a drunk driver while on his Harley and spend about a month in the hospital getting "rebuilt." (of course, my BIL was also "a bit" inebriated at the time and was also charged with DUI...the only one he's ever had in 40+ years of being an alcoholic)
He's been a carpenter all his life. He's one of the best woodsmiths I've ever known, and can do it all, from building the concrete forms for your foundation, all the way to the fine finish work and cabinets.
About 4 years ago, one of the "helpers" on the job knocked my BIL off the top of a house he was building, (he was working along the edge of the roof and the kid hit him in the back of the head with a 2x6) and he fell about 25' to the ground...and landed on his head.
He's pretty fucked up nowadays. He's had several surgeries, neuroscans, etc...and can barely walk. DMV yanked his license because of seizures.
FINALLY, something in his life has slowed his drinking down...When we saw him last, (about x-mas 2008) he was only drinking a 12 pack per day...but still smoking the green bud like a fiend.
