Is AMD A8 5500 cpu is better for gaming without any graphics card...???
Its better than which intel cpu...???
Will it be good for photo and video editing...???

Depends on the game. It's better than some Intel CPU for some games, assuming you mean you won't be using any dedicated video card either way.

If your only option is to use the IGP, sure. It's still pretty far ahead of any Intel part at that price point.

There's also the A8-6500, which is 5-10% faster (both CPU + GPU) but slightly more expensive, or the A8-5600K, which is cheaper and has maybe 5% better CPU performance but a higher TDP (100W vs. 65W).

No i don't have that much budget...i have selected amd a8 5500 bcoz it has 65w tdp...i heard that amd cpus gets hot very soon...i don't have that much budget to spend money for cooler...right i have budget for main parts of cpu...

I don't have that much budget...that's why I have selected this apu bcoz of that i don't need to buy dedicated graphics card...otherwise i was thinking about fx 6300 but for that ill need dedicated graphics card for gaming...and what about photo and video editing performance of a8 5500...???

If you want the best system possible on a tight budget, go to ebay and type in: HP dc5800 E8400

They are a commodity item now, less than $100 shipped for a 3GHz core 2 system with 2 GB of RAM. Then you buy a low profile HD7750 or 7730 and throw it in there.

I think on that budget you'd be better off with a used Phenom II X4 and HD 7750, or something similar. Or you could post your existing build for a possible upgrade, because $100 is not much to work with. I think the A8-5500 would work OK for an HTPC, but gaming, not so much.

Op, you really need to give more detail about what you are trying to do. Are you building a new rig from scratch, what games to you want to play, what resolution, do you have any parts already, do you need a window's license, and most important, what is your total budget.

To answer your question is very difficult phrased the way it is. Is that cpu better for gaming compared to what? To the igp of a similarly priced intel cpu--yes. Better than an A10 or any cheap cpu with a HD7750--no. For sure you will be limited to older games or current AAA titles at low resolutions and image quality settings.

It also depends on if you're absolutely set on getting 'new' stuff.

If you don't mind buying old equipment (and your craigslist community is good), you may be able to buy someone's old gaming rig for <$200 and it may have faster (if older) components.
