Supposedly, although its' officially' a half day on Thursday, unofficially we do ah heck all in the morning as well. I'm not sure though; its hearsay and it's the first time in almost five years of working for the company, that I haven't had the week off before Christmas.

Since the office is closed Thursday & Friday, my 5 hour per day job has turned into an 8-9 hour per day job this week...and probably next week since we're closed Friday and I'm off on Thursday because it's my b-day.

I will probably sneak out early Thursday. And by sneak out early I mean leaving at 4 instead of 5. We are going out for supper at 5 with some family. My main office is done at 3, so while I may not be working AT that office I do work for that company so technically I might even just call it a day at 3...

My field/job has no down time, this is just another normal week aside from the 25th.

same here, except the 25th is just another normal day too.

Wednesday/Thursday/Friday happen to be my normal days off. I'm back to work on Saturday... if I'm still working this same schedule next year, when X-mas/New Year's fall on a Saturday, I'll likely be forced to work both.

NGL, it kinda annoys me. if I were my boss, I'd move things around to get our Hong Kong guys to cover US holidays even if it would mildly inconvenience them for a day or two (like the US team is inconvenienced during their ten billion holidays that they seem to have every year in China)

My work rotation this year had me working Thanksgiving and Christmas (Dec 15-Dec 28). I will be in town for New Years though, unlike last year. And then I think i will have like 18 or so days off in January before I need to work...so that's nice!

Company actually gave us the 24th off - which is actually a surprise. Normally the "unofficial" policy is that Christmas eve = "half day" even though it's a full day. But for some reason, they just gave us the whole day off which is super nice. I also took off next Thursday so I have two 4-day weekends in a row hehe.
