I'm not in to organized sports, and strangely, most people I've worked with in IT aren't either. The rest of the employees in the company don't even bother stopping by with sports pools, they know we don't follow sports.
I don't know too many people like me. Simply put, I don't really like any sports. It's not like I hate them, but I don't follow a single sport and I never go out of my way to watch any of them. I don't see the thrill...
Anyone else?
I don't care at all about sports. I see them as wasted money that could have gone to technology/science research. Not to mention EVERY. SINGLE. ATHLETE. is overpaid by a ton.
Cancer research? Fuck that, let's build a new stadium. The current one is three years old! THE HORROR!

cheering for your team in sports feels like you are dominating with them
I don't really care for sports at all but I do occasionally enjoy watching a good college or NFL game. But after it's over just about all I can tell you is who won.
Some of the guys at work live for sports. They can talk about them all day and tell you every detail of every game they've seen. They know the stats and history of teams/players/coaches. Their mood seems to hinge on how good their team is doing. It's ridiculous.
In fact, I like that people get passionate about sports, but its sad how easily that can go too far (rioting, WTF?). Of course, a lot of that is from mixing with alcohol.
That is... weird to me. I've never thought of it that way, and I don't see how that would work. To each their own, though.
I'm not saying I dislike them for it but I just can't see being that passionate about it that you memorize so many details about it.I don't mind people like that as long as they aren't delusional/irrational like some people can get.
