Soltek rules...
on my 5th and yet to have any complaints on their boards.
I also really like DFI and some Asus stuff.

I do not like EPoX or ECS.

fairly impartial about the rest.

Asus has the best SLI board right now. They could easily be outmatched by Abit or even Foxconn if they make a serious SLI board. Right now Abit makes one but I prefer the layout of the A8N-SLI Deluxe to what Abit offers.

The best motherboard ever built was the Asus P3BF. Asus is without question still the best motherboard maker, bar none. You have to respect the strides DFI has made and Abit as well as MSI have done well, but Asus is still tops. Its like this, the Yankees haven't won a title in a few years, but they are still the Yankees. Asus are the Yankees of motherboard makers.

Asus in the past few years, with regards to QC, has generally taken a few steps down. And the consumer still pays the same price premium based solely on brand name alone.

Don't get me wrong; They're not horrible--They're not standing out among other vendors, however, with regards to quality and features.

The poster is not asking which board maker is the best. He wants to know 1 board from each of the companies he listed that qualifies his criteria. The answer should be: The best board from xxxxxx company is model xxxxxxxxx. Unfortunately I don't have the answers.

just go to newegg.com and search for the board using your criterias... companies have boards based on functions and they will not have 2 boards that are near identical that would compete against itself so there is no BEST board for what you want because there is only ONE board.

939 socket
nforce 4
agp

you should only have one choice from each company. just search for it yourself

Hmm what a load of crap, there is no best manufacturer as others have said, you get quite a lot of good boards from different manufacturers ,in my experience I have tried quite a few different brands and boards and to be honest there is no real difference, more important is the use of quality ram,PSU etc....

In the end it comes down to price, what features you need ,and also if you need overclocking ability etc...

If you want a good socket 939 MoBo, you will have to go with PCI-Express. Sorry, but the PCI-E boards outperform the AGP boards. IF you can tolerate that they're PCI-E, here are the best from ASUS and ABit.

ASUS: A8N-SLI deluxe
ABit: Fatal1ty AN8

If you dont like these, here is how to find more info on MoBos.

1)google.com
2)search for 939 motherboards
3)work out which boards interest you
4)goto the manufacturers website
5)if you still like it, google it for reviews. also look at anandtech.com and hardocp.com for reviews.
6)once you know which boards you are interested in, post here asking for peoples opinions on specific boards.
7)decided on a board
8)buy the board.
