Just a few thoughts.
1) Intel and ATi friends? What does this mean?
2) Intel will continue to use its 130nm capacity through the rest of 2004, at least.
3) Intel is the best at the 130nm node for producing their
own microprocessors using their
own proprietary tools. TSMC, IBM, Chartered, etc have to deal with dozens of chips from other companies.
4) Intel tried the foundry route some time ago. I'm not sure what became of it. Obviously, they dropped the service, but I'm not sure why.
