Moonie, Moonie, Moonie. I suspect that I have given you more credit than you deserve and I therefore apologize. I thought you were a rational, autonomous person with the ability to use reason to dissect the meanings of thing as there are and as they ought to be. Clearly, I was wrong.
You seen, Moonie, one can be independent and "travel the threads giving drippy moral support." They are not mutually exclusive. I exercised my own free will and will continue to show my support whenever, wherever, for whomever I choose, which is consistent with my philosophical ideologies, providing, of course, my decision to show support was not influenced by another. Moreover, like some on here, you illogically draw flawed conclusions from a one-word post: "Nice." I would take to time to quote some the drivel you toss around about these proverbial mirrors, but that would be a waste of time...
In short, I am free to show my support, but I do not ask for it return. How is this not consistent with my thoughts toward individualism? "I live for no man, and would never ask another man to live for me."
