Is CAT5 susceptible to tempature changes?

I am rewiring my house with CAT5 and the only way to get it to a certian room in the house is to run it under the house through the crawl space. When the temps get below freezing will my data rate suffer? Is there any way to insulate it. My phone and Satellite cables run under the house and I have never had a problem but I'm not sure about CAT5.

Freezing temps, I don't think they can greatly affect CAT5 as other than the core of the wires getting frigid there is nothing to freeze up or damage unless you have leaks from water


I say this because I know several places that use Cat5 wiring for connecting to software temp monitors that can gauge temps up to -55C.

Moisture is more of an enemy than pure temperature, if you were to run this cabling through some PVC you should be better off.
