Tea is a more healthy alternative with all the same benefits listed in that article.

Tea doesn't have enough caffine in it to help you get up.

Hell yeah I drink coffee. I usually make mine with the plunger-pot method which is something that article seems to advise against... oh well

What a plunger pot, anyway?

I usually have a 12oz mug of coffee on weekdays. When I'm home on the weekends, I'll sometimes drink the entire 8-cup pot throughout the day.

Ah...so basically they are saying that you should use a paper filter, which stips all of the oils and the best flavors out of the coffee. I call that a French Press, and that's what I use to make my coffee at home.

Anything in excess is bad for you. And we Americans like to have everything in excess. I'll let your mind connect the two.

Yeah I feel the same way- I want that flavor that the filters will absorb!

Drink espresso. They exclude that from the list although I'm not sure why.

I have a pretty damn sweet espresso machine- a Nuova Simonelli Oscar, but in the morning I am just a zombie- can't wait so long for the machine to warm up and then all the time to clean up afterwards

I've drunk coffee since I was in 2nd or 3rd grade, it did make me albiet more awake but it's not like I bounced off the walls like some people claim it does to kids.. I also heard claims that it stunted growth which I believe is a clear lie and I ended up disproving my 5th grade teacher since I was the tallest one in the class, possibly the school. I'm also not addicted to coffee either, it doesn't cause me headaches like it does for my mom, I can go to sleep on a cup of coffee if I choose to so I guess I have the best of all worlds...

Most migraines nowadays in coorporate america comes from an imbalance in nutrition, most of that is from a caffeine dependancy.

**EDIT**
the others are from back and neck pain.

Duuuude, put it on a timer! I have an Isomac Tea and a Mazzer Mini, and I have the Tea on by 7AM every morning. By the time I'm ready for work (I work from home when I'm home) I can pull an espresso or make a fantastic cappuccino immediately.

Hmm that is awfully tempting... A nice espresso in the morning with that layer of crema would probably boost my productivity

Espresso here as well. I have a Rancillio Silvia & Mazzer Mini, and just put Silvia on a timer. I also roast my own beans

That doesn't mean it didn't stunt your growth. Maybe you would have been 6'7" without the coffee.

That could be true because I did speed about 25 years ago
