What a plunger pot, anyway?
I usually have a 12oz mug of coffee on weekdays. When I'm home on the weekends, I'll sometimes drink the entire 8-cup pot throughout the day.

Ah...so basically they are saying that you should use a paper filter, which stips all of the oils and the best flavors out of the coffee. I call that a French Press, and that's what I use to make my coffee at home.
Yeah I feel the same way- I want that flavor that the filters will absorb!
So, what is moderation? Anywhere from two to five cups per day is generally considered a safe yet effective amount.

Tea is a more healthy alternative with all the same benefits listed in that article.
Tea doesn't have enough caffine in it to help you get up.

Anything in excess is bad for you. And we Americans like to have everything in excess. I'll let your mind connect the two.
