FB jailed itself for violation of their own TOS?facebook yeeting itself off the internet was not on my bingo card for today
So hitting F5 is the right thing to do?anyway, DNS is getting DDoSed b/c with facebook having yeeted itself, all those machines that would normally ask DNS for facebook IPs once and then cache it, keep going back to DNS for facebook IPs and DNS is like, "facebook? never heard of him"
HA! My relative was on the phone with her ISP because the internet was down.Imagine all the calls ISP/Corporate Tech Support is getting because "the internet is down".
I don't understand why people still use facebook. It is one of the most depressing things available on the internet.
getting likes is addictive. facebook knows what it's doingI think it's addictive to many people. The weird need to get a like or noticed seems to push people to post pictures of their child, cat, walrus, or potted plant like it's fascinating to people.
Some people have like 1000 "friends" which is just sad. Some of them they probably met at a urinal once and nodded to each other. Friend for life apparently.
Well, yes, they explicitly set out to make it as addictive as they could as time went on.getting likes is addictive. facebook knows what it's doing
So apparently I slept through some exciting times lol. I had people texting me to see if there was something wrong with the internet. I don't know man, I just got up, and I'm about to go to work. I don't work 24/7 lol. Although sometimes it feels like it.

And apparently Future plc, DBA Anandtech Forums.getting likes is addictive. facebook knows what it's doing
they let me be a mod so the evidence is against that. And apparently Future plc, DBA Anandtech Forums.
Not a yuck for zuck.facebook yeeting itself off the internet was not on my bingo card for today
It probably involved a meeting with the Zuck too, meaning you have to look at that face, in person.
With zero additional context and zero Google searching I'm assuming any claims regarding that figure are from a drop in FBs stock price and not actually a material loss for him (I doubt he sold any shares so the 'loss' can recover)So apparently the Zuck lost 7 BILLION while it was down. I can't even fathom that. Does FB really make that much money in a few hours? That's insane.
