I don't understand why people still use facebook. It is one of the most depressing things available on the internet.

I think it's addictive to many people. The weird need to get a like or noticed seems to push people to post pictures of their child, cat, walrus, or potted plant like it's fascinating to people.

Some people have like 1000 "friends" which is just sad. Some of them they probably met at a urinal once and nodded to each other. Friend for life apparently.

I used to work internet tech support. I remember one time when Akamai was having routing issues and basically like half the internet was down.

With zero additional context and zero Google searching I'm assuming any claims regarding that figure are from a drop in FBs stock price and not actually a material loss for him (I doubt he sold any shares so the 'loss' can recover)
