Is Fallout New Vegas worth $10?

Amazon has a sale today on Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition for $10.

It's out of stock but I'm pretty sure it can be bought for the 9.99 and they'll deliver it when it's in stock. So is this worth it? I enjoyed Fallout 3 and Skyrim so I figure this is right up my alley, but is it as open worlded as the other games or was it more linear in nature?

Yes. Even the regular Fallout:NV is worth ten dollars - with all the DLC, if you liked Fallout3/Skyrim - this is a must buy.

Fallout NV has a better story than FO3 and much better writing overall. It was done by Obsidian (ex-Black Isle folks, from FO 1-2, KOTOR 2, etc.).

With the DLC I'd happily pay $50 for it. $10 is a steal.

I enjoyed NV far more than FO3 (which felt too sterile/desolate). NV successfully replicates the atmosphere and feel of the original Fallout. I only wish the original plot was longer.

Yes the UE is available for $5 pretty much every major steam sale. Same with FO3

If you play the whole game with the DLC its going to be 100 hours at least of content for $10 - so that's a pretty good ratio!!

I don't honestly see how anyone could say "no". Of course it's worth that! It's worth quite a bit more.

I'm playing through it now, without any nostalgia goggles (nostalgia, from 2010, lol), and it's every bit as enjoyable to me as any other new game, actually much more so.

I do probably enjoy the world of Fall Out 3 a tiny bit more, but FONV is great and should not be missed by fans of the series.

Most people think New Vegas is even better so I am betting you will enjoy it.

I've been wanting to get FONV for the longest time. I loved FO3 with a couple DLCs. I placed an order for the PC version of FONV on Amazon. Hopefully it'll be back in stock soon. Very excited. I'm gonna read the hell outta the strategy before I play it. I did it with FO3 so I could get the most out of the game, getting the best weapons and maxing out the SPECIAL.

It is OK, can get tedious at times.
The game has some pretty funny glitches though, sometimes the characters end up in ... unique positions.
