Sorry, you stepped over the line there. Bringing up personal information shared in the love and relationships forum as a way to attack someone is despicable.

I don't know what this is about really, but wtf? If someone's posts personal info on an internet forum, it's their own fault.

That forum has specific rules and it applies these forums as well.

Since when did personal attacks substitute for having an actual argument?

Look at the responses in this thread... Assumptions as facts, personal attacks, and cursing are the only responses I've gotten thus far... Pretty sad.

I have to keep reminding myself that I have kids with high metabolism's and require a constant source of food to keep the weight on. I must remember, America is full of fatties lined up at McD's.
Despite what you think, your children are NOT retarded. They will tell you when they are hungry. You don't need to argue with them or force it on them.

If your kids don't ever get hungry (that dude the daughter a few pages back), they should see a doctor. Might be a hormone problem. Maybe hyperthyroidism or something. I seem to know a lot of people with thyroid problems.

They will eat when they are hungry. My 2 year old eats tons one day a near none other days. Why force him to eat when he is not hungry? The eating patterns tend to be cyclical. He will be super hungry for awhile he gets a bit chubby(storing energy), then go on a growth spurt and shoot up a few inches while having no appetite.

Your friends sound like they are ignoring their kids natural instincts. The dont need a set amount of calories daily.

Same here. My 2.5 year old will eat a whole grilled cheese, a few broccoli crowns, an orange, and a dessert one day, and then nothing the next. Doesn't bother us, so long as he eats "something" each day. If we get worried, we just tell him that he has to eat X number of pieces or else he can't go outside and play hockey. That always seems to get him to eat.

Bottom line, don't post personal info on an Internet forum.

You're wrong. I never made the claim that I believe my kids are retarded, and you are wrong in creating that assumption regarding how I view my children. They most certainly are not retarded. What they are, however, is very active. My kids get hungry, but that doesn't mean they're willing to stop what they're doing to come tell me. In fact, if they get over hungry or over tired they turn into little monsters. So, it's my job as a parent to make sure they eat and don't get to skinny.

I think the key difference here is my kids have high metabolisms are must eat regularly and often. Otherwise, the doctor starts mentioning them not gaining weight, and in turn gets us worried. Yea, they've done all the tests. Doctors come back negative results on everything, just tell us: "You've got very active boys, feed them calories."

The people who don't have to worry about feeding their kids, well...make sure you teach them good eating habits or they'll join the obese masses.
