So we'll have to try a little critical thinking here. First off to compare the infrastructure and wealth between Haiti and China is mindboggling stupid; how can you seriously relate the stability of the two countries? This is important because of the nature of the aid that countries can reasonably expect to receive. In essence we can reasonably assume that any wealthy stable nation can support themselves through a disaster. Is China relatively wealthy and stable, at least when compared to Haiti?
Additionally flooding China with U.S. dollars would be sorta goofy since they own U.S. t-bonds; would almost akin to be writing yourself a check to deposit money in your own checking account - money just goes in circles. Furthermore while the official government donation was $500k, per the NYT the U.S. donated over $700k in supplies (which was probably more important than cash) and private U.S. organization donated in excess of $20 million. Therefore when you look at total aid from the U.S. to china for the earthquake, the reality is that over $20 million was donated, not $500k.

There is already a greatly larger estimated dead in Haiti compared to China, and furthermore the government of Haiti was literally destroyed. There may not be anybody alive in the Haitian legislature. China's government did not absolutely collapse after their earthquake, did it? The point being this is a far more severe event and as such would reasonable necessitate greater resources. Also China refused much of the offered outside help.
You should not call people hyprocrites when comparing these two situations. As absolutely shocking as it may be for you, these are different situations and different situations will results in different means and ends. Do not look at one situation and think simply because it shares some facet of another incident that therefore it can be compared to any and all future incidents. That's a good way to get bitten in your ass as you go through life.
Finally I will damn well badmouth China (and the U.S., and any country) if they deserve it. In this instance I think the Chinese government deserves it.
wow, you actually spent time and googled that?
