I would bet i5 4670k with 280x/760 would outperform g3220/290 at lower res
Maximum resolution is 1600x10
I'm in almost same confusion.
Gonna build very cheap budget gaming build end of this year.
But heard more core is required in todays most of the games.
So,which will be better ?
AMD FX-6300+ R7 250X 1GB or Intel G2020+R7 265 2GB/750Ti 2GB ?
Both.combo are almost similar price here.
And 4GB DDR3 1600MHz is enough of 8GB RAM must ?
How will the G3220 hold up in BF4 on medium 64player maps??
Honestly considering getting the G3258 and o/cing it to +4.4GHz. How's that paired with a 280X/290?
C'mon... It's only $60!!
what does price have to do with your question? a Corolla is 1/4 the price of an F250 so would that price difference make up for it not being the right tool for the job? you would not even average 30 fps in a game like Crysis 3 so just think about the minimum framerate. pairing a 290 with a Pentium dual core would be a laughably stupid decision at this point.C'mon... It's only $60!!
Anything below an i3 for gaming isn't a great idea.
Is G3220 good for gaming for next few years? Will it be able to utilize fully a GPU of GTX 780 range?
Any CPU below i3 is enough for gaming using up to mid range GPUs in 90%+ of the games today.
You may not get 100fps on highest settings but you will be able to play at decent IQ settings at more than 30fps.
