Is googlegear.com any good?

I only shop from newegg and mwave, cuz they are the best vendors to deal from. Alot of pees around here seem to be shopping at googlegear, are they as good as newegg (ie good customer serivce, rma policy, etc)

eww, there standard shipping method is UPS, these guys have a tendency to play soccer with my packages. Newegg's reseller rating is 9.4 and googlegear is a 6, hmmm, i think ill stick with newegg then.

I've had good luck with them. It is usually just a few dollars more than NewEggs shipper saver shipping, to get 2nd day from GoogleGear. GoogleGear also seems to be very prompt at getting deliveries out the door (like MWave).

They are slow on shipping other than that they are cool. I use to shop googlgear.com until I found newegg and switch to newegg. I live in Chicago so it take forever for them to ship to me, and I notice there shipping charge is a lot higher than before.

I have had good luck with them every time I have ordered from them.... Just got two retail SECC2 (Slot1) PIII 1000E from them, no problem! AND THOSE ARE HARD TO FIND THESE DAYS! (had to upgrade a DVW)

If you need customer support, you do not buy any of the guys that you mention, or to this effect from any one on the Net but, PCNut.com, or Russ at Compucheap.com. Otherwise, I not know even one that has customer support the way it should.

Last week I bought from the ?Google? ABIT Mobo, P-4- 1.6A, and Samsung OEM 512MB DDR. I bought from the Google because at the time the same stuff from Newegg was $60 more.

Put it in a Box, with the Intel HSF, adjust the FSB to 140MHz and fired.

Since then I have a 140 x 16=2240MHz (2,24GHz) box running stable for a week.

However, you know what, it has nothing to do with the ?Google?, that is a combination of luck, and my knowledge

Googlegear seems to deliver just like the other two mentioned. I had excellent service from Mwave one time when they forgot to ship memory with the rest, and Newegg came through when they shipped me a bum Duron, it was a little bit of a PITA. Haven't had to use customer service at Googlegear.

I detest Fedex, Brown has always treated me right. With Fedex, their local guy comes 'round the house about 10 am, when he knows nobody's home, leaves the stupid sticky note, forcing me to drive out into the nether-regions at rush hour to get my stuff. The local UPS guy knows the wife gets home at 4 pm, times his delivery accordingly. He says the company expects it, they monitor his successful delivery ratio. Obviously not so with Fedex. Caught the guy putting the sticky note on my door one day when I was home sick- didn't even ring the doorbell, had to go back to the truck for my stuff..... Pa-ryck!

I don't understand why people care so much about what company they buy from.

I've been buying parts from the Internet for about 6 years now and all 6 of those years I took the cheapest one from pricewatch.com

It usually turned out to be the best price, and only with one (rather recent) exception (where it was simply OOS), nothing has gone wrong.

I would just go with whatever is cheapest.
