Your not stating any facts. In the op he says:

i run almost 24 hours either for Folding at Home or converting video, and running as a file server on a giga network with 3 other computer attached and 2 wireless

Well I think their are many other people who don't understand your posts ... and I personaly think my parents are financially secure enough to not to mind the increase in power bills... also if they have any problem with the increase cost I am willing to pay that portion of the bill as i am now paying for my gas, my car insurance, cell phone, laptop, camera, clothes, etc ... and still have money going into saving for college, if you would like I could give my dads cell phone # so you could have a conversation with him... Thank you for your concern
