almost every episode of this show they deny someone boarding due to being drunk

do people not know about the rules? or they don't care?

i can't find the policy published on southwest's web site, so i am not sure how people are supposed to know. i'll try some other airline website

http://www.aetv.com/airline/index.jsp

I know. I'm watching it on A&E right now too.

Your analogy didnt make sense.

Yeah it does. Just because somebody knows they can't do something, doesn't mean they won't do it anyways. People know they can't drive drunk, but they do anyways. People know they can't fly drunk, but they try to do it anyways.

Given the fact it's SouthWest Airlines, I'm not surprised. I flew on them twice and it seemed like all the fvcking crazies and wierdoes flew on those planes. Give me Delta or AirTran anyday.

The difference? Passengers who fly drunk won't crash the plane.

First of all, i think it is. Most places have the right to deny you entry if you're plastered. Second, the point was that EVEN IF IT WAS KNOWN, PEOPLE STILL DO IT. Just because people know that something is wrong, doesn't mean they won't do it.

its an federal regulation. I didn't knwo they could deny you if you were drinking. I had had a few beers/joints in amsterdam, and had a bottle of vodka with me i planned to drink on/before the plane. The chick heard it rattle and said what is it, i said vodka, she said what ar eyou gonna do with it, i said im gonna drink it. She said if she saw me even wobble, i wasn't getting on a plane.

I didn't know this and I would like to think that I am a normal intelligent person.

(Not that I would get wasted and try to board a plane)

It's against the law to be drunk in public too...
(Never stopped me )

It's called handling one's alcohol. A very nice skill to have.

I didn't know either, and I've flown multiple times..

Then again, not since I was post-21.

1. You can be drunk without raising attention to yourself.
2. My point was that your analogy made no sense, apples and oranges.

I think you might be surprised at how many people are unaware of this.

It wasn't an analogy, it was a point. I would assume that 100% of people know that it's against the law to drive drunk, yet people still do it. So whether people know it's wrong or not to fly drunk, they still would even if they knew.

This is what he's saying, it's not wrong to fly drunk, whereas one could make a much stronger argument as to it's wrong to drive drunk.
