Is it illegal to take pictures of money?

oh, that was me, sadly, i spent those $100s already.

Photoshop flips out if you try to use it to scan money, dunno about cameras though.

I think photoshop has some built in watermark tech where it'll recognize it and apply some watermark. I've never tried. I think its not illegal if you don't intend on passing it off as genuine. I might be wrong on that.

I scanned in a bill, with the intention of changing the picture to one of my kids' pictures, enlarging it, and printing it as a poster for their room.
For sh!ts and giggles, I printed out the bill, figuring it would look horrible. As I looked in aww at how good the reproduction was (if it weren't for the texture of the paper, it would have fooled me, and I handle a lot of money) I realized, there was only 1 course of action:
Burn the piece of paper and reformat my hard drive before the Secret Service whom I suspected had someway of knowing, would arrive at my door with 20 state police and sheriff's deputies.

i think you're allow to copy it as long as you change the size.

shoot, there are a lot of websites out there that have pictures of "world currencies"

Maybe she was talking about Photoshop. If you scan in currency, if I'm not mistaken, it won't show up.
