But I must say, Firefox crashes like crazy. In the past hour, I think FF has crashed about 16-20 times on me. I don't know if it's because it's the PR or not, but really now, FF should be a LOT more stable.

that's gotta be you. i started using FF again when the PR came out and i haven't had a single crash. maybe a flakey extension or something?

I know it's me... most people don't have the problems. I'm running..mouse gestures, target alert, smoothwheel, imagezoom, bugmenot and linkification. I'll distable all and see if it works..

It is for me, I like not having the task bar cluttered with windows. I know Window A is here, and Program C is here. And I don't have an answer for your second question, because i'm not MS.

Edit: I also like FF shortcuts (click scroll wheel for new tab, none of that shift click or right click stuff.)

The cluttered task bar isn't nearly as annoying as not being able to use ALT-TAB to switch between internet windows...

Firefox is greater than everything else because of the extensions.

Flash click-to-play, ad blocking, gmail compose in context menu, mouse gestures, download sort, etc etc....

It makes browsing tolerable again. IE is fine for some people, but after using Firefox loaded up with extensions, I could never go back to IE, integrated popup blocker (that doesn't work nearly as well as firefox's anyway) or not.

To each their own.

I won't IE due to the insane amount of pop-ups that exploit it. I don't use FireFox either because I don't know too much about it. I do however use AVANT. It's awesome with no pop-ups, great keyboard short-cuts, FREE , and in case of computers crashings or power-outages it saves the pages you were on before-hand so you don't have to worry about trying to find those sites again. You can also minize all the windows at once since the browser keeps all windows within itself. It's great! I use it! Don't be dissin' it!!!
