This thread is funny!
I can't use SP2 because I use Bluetooth and my computer as a headset (for the program i'm developing), and MS have royally fvcked up Bluetooth in SP2.
Therefore, the "added features" in IE in SP2 are not going to be used by me. (from what I can see, the only useful feature is a popup blocker)
I've been using Firefox since it was called Phoenix and at 0.4, not because i want to be "different", but because I wanted to try something different, and I ended up liking it.
I've become almost *dependant* on tabbed browsing, it's much easier to have 1 browser window open and 8 tabs, along with the 4-5 other programs I have open on a daily basis (Outlook, hospital administration system, VB, PhotoShop, and 2-3 MSN Messenger windows) than 8 browser windows plus the rest.
I can now Alt-Tab between open programs, and when in Firefox, can Ctrl-Tab between the different tabs. Or I just move my mouse over the tabs, and they auto-switch to the one i'm hovering over.
Ad-Block is also a god-send, with about 15 wildcards, i have not seen an ad for ~2 months (since I installed Ad-Block and configured it), and I've not had my ears unexpectedly blasted away by some stupid Flash animation, any Flash I want to view, I tell it when to start playing.
As for popups...what popups? Only requested popups open on my machine.
I've also been to countless places to remove spy-ware from PCs, and guess what, they're all using IE. I've installed Firebird/Firefox (depending on when it was and which was the latest at the time) and I haven't heard anything from any of them since. Therefore something must be going right with Firefox.
I seriously suggest you actually try the software before bashing it, and when you do, actually have good reasons.
Oh, and IE doesn't run any web pages. IE only shows web pages...give up before you dig yourself any deeper.
