That's why you shop around. I get OEM chargers(usually from Motorolla) when they go for cheap on Amazon, usually $3. I have never had a problem with them.

That's the problem with some cell phones. They don't have a lot of choices for chargers. I know I ordered like some chargers from HK and they did not work at all, but then again they were super cheap.

That's the problem. Stop ordering generic junk from Asia.

Instead, look for great deals on branded stuff. While it also comes from Asia, it is manufactured to a much higher standard. For example, I picked up some overstocks recently:

9 times out of 10, the quality of branded accessories beats any generic at the same price level.

I found a car charger from Radio Shack that has served me well for a couple of years now. You can actually change out the ends so that it works for multiple devices. For example, I use it to charge my EVO and when my Zune need some juice I just swap out the end to be compatible with the Zune (and vice versa).

I'm sure there are better ones out there but that's what I use.

you must be abusing your stuff. i've bought cheapo stuff from ebay and it lasts months or years

I've had some issues with generic accessories from China but OEM accessories from the manufacturers usually yields better quality.
