Real estate is bats**t crazy there.
no kidding. even the hotel prices are harrible.
Real estate is bats**t crazy there.
but it does work out well that people like living in cities, since millions can flock there instead of buying lots in rural areas
what part of Detroit are you living in?
Dunno, just the way I was raised. My cousin was raised in big cities, she even lived in (near?) Times Square for awhile, crazy. Couldn't pay me enough money to live in crowded places like that. I get all antsy and freaked out when I'm in crowds though.
Gotta ask, is that due to your military service? My buddy did a tour in Iraq and he's the exact same way.

Not in Detroit. Urban Area near Charleston SC.
yeah going outside of your apartment/house and immediately being surrounded by throngs of people would be terrible. where's the buffer?
inside the dope a** 5* restaurant that's 5 minutes away. or at one of the 50 bars 10 minutes the other way. or...or...or...
I love people who have no clue about geography or climates.ummmm
I love people who have no clue about geography or climates.
those places are filled with a lot of people and cost a lot of money

http://www.city-data.com/top2/c464.htmlmy relatives in denver kept posting stupid pics of patio furniture with 6" of snow on it, every couple of weeks, all winter
explain that climate denier
also filled with hipsters willing to listen to your pomes.

See Denver in that list? Nope
See us having to use salt on our roads? Nope
This Feb broke a 100 year old record with 22 inches of snow.. then in March we had 60-70 degree days almost the entire month, by march 16th we hit 80. The Mistake by the Lake struggled to get out of the 40's all of March.
denver's snowfall this year was 57.8 inches, which was only 57.5 inches over the yearly normal per this site (http://www.thorntonweather.com/noaa/snow.php). though wiki shows 53.8 inches as the average but that could be a different time period.
and let's not forget 2012-13 with almost 80 inches of snow in denver
looks like you got a lot to learn about the city you live in
Yes, the winters here are HORRIBLE. Please don't move here and drive up real estate even more.
Hey I could use the equity!
It's all good stay in the midwest. tbh i would think about moving to the denver area if my family weren't all here. lots of good java jobs and the mountains are awesome.
but i would also have to bring myself to buy a 100$k house for 300$k
That makes no sense. A 100k house is 100k.
