Is it "okay" to send a job listing to a friend who already has a job?

I have a friend who's a crime analyst at a local police department. This morning, I ran across a crime analyst listing for the FBI's Critical Incident Response Group. It seems like something he'd like doing, but I know he enjoys his current job as well.

Would it be considered 'rude' if I sent him a link to the FBI job listing?

probably not, but it depends, my place of work frowns upon looking at other jobs while working there, but since it's just a police dept, probably not a problem there.

I think it's ok. It gives him the opportunity to look at something different and decide if it's something he would like to persue. It's not like you are forcing it at him.:thumbsup:

As long as you send it to his personal address, not his eomplyers, you shouldbe fine. If I were him, I would appreciate it.

Tell him you're sending it, and mail it to his personal address so he can review it at home. It's never smart to look at job opportunities at your current place of business, unless of course you're a recruiter.
