i've been in relationships and ive not been in relationships.

it does feel pretty darn great to be in one. but im at a point where i dont really care that im not in one now. im too preoccupied with school/getting a job/figuring out my future to worry about that stuff.

but i am pretty certain the day will come when i will start to feel lonely, etc. and i will have to go back on the prowl. :rowr;

Just being in a relationship gives a huge self esteem boost, a better sense of stability (most of the time), and a different sense of (non sexual) love that can't be provided by regular friends or family.

yes and no, a happy life is built upon relationships. obviously a married couple has a relationship beyond any others, but if you others are strong and fulfilling, I could see a single person being happy.

You can feel empty and incomplete without someone else, but feel fullfilled with that person.

Some people can be happy without company, some people can't be happy even with company, and I know I can't be happy without it.

i would have to say that it depends from person to person. If you are mostly introver than you'll find satisfaction with your own thoughts and generally being to yourself. On the other hand extroverted people need company
