It seems like today's environment you are labeled a bigot if you don't accept guys banging guys and I don't understand why.
Seems like your issue here (besides the amusing victim mentality anyway) is you don't understand that actively fighting gay rights and seeking to disenfranchise them wherever possible is where the bigotry comes in. Gay people probably couldn't care less what you personally think of them and their lifestyle, it's about rights - the things you yourself would be fighting for if indeed your lifestyle were in someone's legislative crosshairs.
Act like a bigot, get called a bigot. Pretty straight forward really.
That kind of behavior, in my opinion, is not something that should be accepted or celebrated.
You're entitled to that opinion, no matter how much fail it involves. No problem here at all, until you start demanding others follow your line of thinking.
It should not be something that is protected by law.
See above.
If you want to do things to guys in the darkness of your own bedroom then whatever, just keep it out of public spotlight.
The plethora of anti-gay republicans caught smoking another guy's hog would indicate this is harder to do than you would think.
But it seems like today's environment promotes homosexuality, it seems like it is "cool" to be gay and like gay things. Since when did this become a thing?
When ideas or people that have been repressed for a long time gain empowerment and acceptance, sometimes things get festive and people are happy. My advice is to just get on with your life and quit caring so much about if there are people out there who think penis is delicious. This can prove difficult for social authoritarians with religious backgrounds and agendas, but oh well. Liberty and freedom are kind of a big deal in this country, if that's a problem for you maybe it's time to move to a location that mirrors your own personal views on those subjects.
It is unnatural, biologically speaking, and if you disagree then you are disagreeing with millions of years of evolution and I will ALWAYS find you wrong.
Tell that to bonobo chimpanzees, our closest biological relative. You can't even figure out civil rights and you want to tackle 'millions of years of evolution,'? Oh you
I can't even believe it is a debatable thing.
Somehow that doesn't surprise me.
But I guess here we are. So...with all of that being said where do you stand ATOT? Why is this an OK thing in our society?
Because we have this thing called the Constitution, and if you take exception with what's in it and want it changed you'll need something better than dogmatic religious bullshit or odious personal opinion. A better question: why do you and other social authoritarians think it's OK to ignore the parts of the Constitution you don't like? What do you think this is, bible class? I'll stand on the side of liberty. Choose the side of discrimination if you want, just don't be surprised when you get called out on it, or laughed at when you attempt to justify it.
Clarification: Just to clarify before I get the witch-hunt out for me I'm not saying to castrate gays and burn them at the stake, I am simply saying why are we publicizing and glamorizing such an act? If you want to be gay be gay on your own time, out of the spotlight. Don't make it some sort of publicized thing that should be 'respected' because it shouldn't be.
Right, it's the responsibility of others to conform to your delicate, easily offended sensibilities. Wouldn't want that contagious gay to spread now would we?
Gay communities try to celebrate and empower themselves because people like you have spent a lot of time and money trying to do the opposite. You are essentially asking "Why can't gay people stay out of my sight, why should I be exposed to their presence?" You realize that makes you sound like a complete pussy, right? I bet if secular humanists asked christians to stop celebrating their religion, to just do that shit at home, keep it out of sight, you social authoritarians would be just fine with that, right? Even though holy rollers go apoplectic if someone merely asks them not to put a christmas display on public land. You guys are funny, always the victim.
