I need to rent a car for about 5 days, the size and type of car does'nt matter. I'm hoping to find something I can rent for about 100 bucks including taxes and hopefully insurance. Anyone know where I should look? Or is 100 bucks too little to play?
Yeah, fees are really what's going to kill you. If you have a Costco membership, I strongly suggest looking through costcotravel.com's car rental site.
it's possible depend on what metroplex you're in and whether it has the weekend in it.
Check enterprise, their lowest normal price is a bit over what you're looking for but they frequently run promotions for 10/day on weekend.
They have a 2003 Chevy Cavalier for $19.99/day in Chicago. Rates vary depending in cars available in certain locations though and you didn't mention where you needed one.
Dont forget the minimum $200 deposits either. Some places want at least $300, in addition to the cost of the rental.
$150 gets you the employee rate for the week with taxes. It doesn't get much cheaper than that. I'm currently looking for the 2010 S550s that showed up in our computer system, but I have no idea what region fleet has them. Now that would be a sweet upgrade....though fleet costs on those must be insane given their depreciation.
I had to rent my boss a car for 3 days this week. It was ~$34.00 online (priceline, travelocity, even the company websites). AAA got it for $17.00/day.
