Do you think it's crazy to scan 500+ mags? I won't be scanning every page but all pages with articles on them so for example a 70 page mag will have 45-50 pages that have articles or pictures on them.
I guess I will find out how tough my Canon Scanner is

If this really isn't a joke, why not pay someone else to scan them? People with OCD actuially love jobs like this, and I'm sure you can find someone who'll do it for near min wage.

EDIT : I'm sure you know other people in the hobby, or other forums. Why not just break it into stacks about 10 mags each, send them to people /w return packaging to scan, and everyone gets a copy of all the PDF's after? There are so many better ways to do this then 250 hours at a scanner.
