I recently upgraded from an Acer 24" to a Hanns-G (HG281D) 28" monitor. Now there is 2 to 5 second delay when I switch computers with the KVM switch. It's an older Linksys 8 port. (fwiw, this is an issue for gaming)
Now obviously this is happening because I changed monitors. But the question is, is it because of the monitor itself, or do you think it's that the KVM can't handle the new monitor. I've tinkered around with the settings on the monitor & haven't found anything that helps. Nothing much to tinker on the KVM. I'm leaning towards some sort of refresh issue with the monitor, as opposed to the switch... as the keyboard is live almost immediately even tho the monitor isn't up yet. Although they're completely different signals, so maybe not.
Been thinkin about a new KVM anyway, since this older one doesn't support DVI, usb or duals. But have ya priced 8ports that support all that?
Thoughts?
