is it time to install winxp?

I've been avoiding xp for the longest time in favor of 2000, because it seems slower and less stable. but I keep finding more and more little features in various programs that are supported in xp, but not 2000. is xp where everyone's headed? is 2000 fading away? I'm about to format and have an xp cd sitting around, so I'm looking for some advice about whether I should switch and some tips about xp for if I do.

yes it is time to install XP..what made u wait this long..XP works great..

The switch shouldnt have any hidden problems...even if u do..just msg here and i am sure there's a fix for ur ailments..

Why are you waiting? XP has SP1, so some bugs have been fixed and 2000 support is much less than XP. Upgrade.

also, hyper threading is only supported by xp ;P

I have found XP to be just as stable as 2000. I also find it's software support especially, is better than 2000s. I think you are safe for the time being with either OS, however, I like XP better. If you paid for it, and have a copy, why not use it?
