Haswell is only marginally better than Ivy, it's like going from Sandy to Ivy. In other words, it's definitely not worth it.

It's gonna be a while before a 4.4GHz 3570k becomes a bottleneck in gaming. Till then, just enjoy the ride.

Your 7950 is also good to go with a nice OC. No worthy upgrades for it yet, and really no reason to upgrade either unless you are running multiple monitors or 4k resolution.

8GB of RAM is still sufficient for gaming and multi-tasking, I doubt you will be able to notice a difference between single and dual channel.

I know you are probably itching to upgrade but there is nothing worth upgrading to at the moment. I'd say wait for DDR4 to become mainstream, that might make it worth upgrading. Till then just save up the $$$.

Wow, Virgin Mobile has very poor phone selection. I'd dump that carrier, but thats me.

If you can find some cheap 7950's out there, I'd crossfire it with yours for huge boost in performance. Or, I'd get a larger capacity SSD for convenience. Other than that, Not much you can do to make your computer feel faster other marginal improvements.

2 7950's are plenty fast at 1440p or below.

Ebay has 7950's going for a decent price, you could sell yours and buy a beefier card with the cash back and your tax returns. Lots of choices!

i do have my eye on this anyhow...

http://www.virginmobileusa.com/shop/cell-phones/supreme-phone/features/#plan

it's a zte vital or w/e

im on a old lg optimus v lol

I've had that phone for a few months now. Got it when it was $150. There is nothing on the market that even comes close for that price. I jsut bought the phone and then took it over to ringplus and got their $10 a month plan. It's funny how much smartphone you can get for $150 down and $10 a month.

One problem with the phone is that it has some rare app compatibility problems. It has run 50+ games, but there is one game from Gamebakers that will not run. Also, it will run through the entire 3dmark test but then after it finishes and goes to give you the result, it crashes. (The graphics and framerates do look really good as the test runs though.) 3dmark cannot identify the SoC, even though it is a pretty standard msm8960.

The only thing I really see, besides the single stick of RAM would be a new SSD if yours is over, say 60% full.

You didn't mention what case you have...

have really cheap 25$ case....might get better one...and maybe 250gb ssd

Meh... do some case shopping. It's really nice going from a budget case to a nice case like a Fractal... makes you feel like a build hero.

As far as an SSD, as I said... if your current one is over 60% full, that would be a reasonable upgrade.

what do you mean by that?

I just have never known anyone to purchase a Z75 mobo, it seemed pretty pointless next to the Z77, and most of the big mobo vendors don't even carry Z75 boards anymore, only Z77.

I forget what differentiated the Z75 from the Z77. It was supposed to be slightly cheaper, and I guess, it was, initially, before the Z77 price drops set in. That's what basically killed the Z75.

Z75 didn't have SRT and had a slightly less flexible PCIe configuration. Otherwise, they were identical to the lower-end Z77 boards. It's was good pickup at the time, but as you said, got pushed out when Z77 boards dropped to price equality.
