Making of the Atomic Bomb - Richard Rhodes is an extremely good book. I'd recommend reading it anywhere. Read it in church, er, mosque. Read it on the bus, read it with green eggs.

Maybe it's just me, but I'd pick something else for public casual reading.
EDIT: Actually read what books you listed instead of thinking of what I wouldn't read in public, and none of those I would have a problem with in public.
I mean the Koran, a holy book? Making of the Atomic Bomb? Hell even Hitler's biography isn't really that bad. Now if you're a Skinhead with Aryan pride tattooes and you're reading Hitler's biography.
"Anal stimulation using household items" is something I wouldn't parade around reading in public. I mean I wouldn't read it at home either, but I certainly wouldn't read it in public.
Especially in a library, pretty much everything is fair game.

I'm in my first year of college. These people that told me this don't go to the school though. They are college educated, however.

But don't read it aloud in an airport.

These "politically correct" folks that tell you not to read them are the cause of the continued wussification of America. I say read them. If they don't like it they can go somewhere else.

Screw them. Read whatever you want. Those traitors to American ideals should be sent to "re-education camps." That'll fix them.
