As much as I loved the Matrix storyline and it's movies (yes, ALL of them) I was never a big fan of MMORPGs and decided to stay away from the Matrix Online game when it first came out. Recently though I've been getting the hankering for a red pill and thought about maybe giving it a try, but since it's been out for so long now I'm wondering if it's even worth getting into at this point.
For those of you who play/have played MxO fairly recently, can you tell me a little about the game and what is involved? Do you need to rely on other people/guilds in order to do certain things like in WoW, or is it more single-player based? I don't mind obsolete graphics (even though I like my eye-candy) but how would you describe the graphics in MxO compared to some of todays games? I've also read that the main problem that a lot of people had with the game is that it was too laggy in certain spots, is this still the case or has that issue been fixed?
I would really like to see how the story continues through the game, but I can't play something if I'm not enjoying the tasks and puzzles involved, especially if it's an MMORPG. So some information and suggestions about getting into this would be great. Thanks.
