Is it worth selling a 7950?

Yep, ebay is seriously 10% of the final sale value which may also include shipping. The insane part to me is that they take a cut of the shipping charges...

And since they basically force you to use PayPal, it's more like 13%.

I have to say when I saw how much my used 7950 was worth, 13% in fees was the last thing on my mind. To each his own I guess.

What it's worth is only part of the equation, the other part being how much it will cost to get a replacement that will make the whole thing worth your time. 13% cuts into that pretty significantly. So it's wise to consider all the factors, but to each his own I guess.

Sold for 315 minus fees... probably get about 280 out of it in the end. Paid 190 so I'm happy. GT 640 from work plays dota 2 fine lol.

Performance wise though, the card probably is worth nearly 300 still. Will definitely have to wait a while before a real upgrade is available for the money.

Nice job taking advantage of the bubble. I admire your restraint. My backlog is too big to wait for next-gen so I'm happy with my upgrade.

Nice deal! Gonna wait for the next wave though... Certainly don't want to go down in vram when I'm considering a 1440p monitor
