Just checked NCIX (Canadian site) latest sale, the Antec 900 is on sale for $89.99 CDN. with a mir.
As I mentioned, I have both cases. Is the 900 worth 50 more? I think it is, just the extra included speed-adjustable fans alone are worth more than that.
Aside from the superior airflow, it has a window with an additional fan mount. The fans and hard drive cages can be moved to any position in the front of the case, and either hd cage is removable depending on how many hard drives you need.</end quote></div>
NCIX didn't pay me for a $40 rebate on OCZ RAM. I've done everything I can to avoid them since. And I've succeeded in geting the hardware I wanted from other sites. (They have a lot of good stuff so avoiding them is hard.)
I think the Centurion 5 with the window is the better one since it has the correct airflow (no holes on the side).
It's kind of frustrating though because the cost is higher and they seem harder to find. I know I ordered mine from cancomputer.com and I didn't like the $30 for shipping.
The weirdest thing is I was making comparisons between two different hypothetical builds just to see how much of a difference it would make if you got a more expensive power supply instead of a cheaper one, and a better case, a more powerful CPU, GPU etc. And the difference can be insane when you add up the total. I mean, something slightly better on every part will end up being way more expensive.
The one thing I wouldn't ignore though is the quality of the PSU. I know I didn't do enough research before buying my PSUs (and could probably do a lot more research). But, I still got a Seasonic S-12 for one machine and a Fortron Blue Storm II for my backup.
